Samuel Beau Reurekas was 11-years-old (D.O.B. = 20-Aug-2003) upon his debut as Billy and is from Almere, a planned city and municipality in the province of Flevoland, the Netherlands.  It is the newest city in the Netherlands: the land on which Almere sits, the Southern Flevoland Polder, was reclaimed from the IJsselmeer in 1959-68. The first house was finished in 1976, and Almere became a municipality in 1984.
Samuel lives in Almere with his mother, father, an older brother, and a younger brother and sister. He lists as his hobbies, guitar, martial arts and, of course, dancing.
He got the idea of auditioning for the Billy Elliot sCool because his mother read an article in a journal and thought: “that would be something nice for Samuel” and Samuel agreed. So he did the audition and was accepted.  He says, “Before my audition, I couldn’t dance, so I learned everything at the Billy Elliot sCool.”
Samuel says the coolest thing about being Billy is that “you can sort of create your own Billy, because every actor who plays Billy can choose how to do his Billy a little bit. One is better at acting, the other is better at dancing, the other is better at singing and in that way you create your own Billy.”
He thinks it’ll be cool to be on stage with Pia Douwes and the rest of the cast soon and soon has come. Samuel’s debuted on 10-Jul-2015, at which time he became the 9th Billy to debut in The Netherlands production of BETM and the 101st boy to play the role professionally world-wide.
