Kimi Lumme was 11 years old when he made his debut as Billy in the Oulu Theatre production of BETM.
Kimi has been dancing from a very young age. Since he was three years old he has been training at the Ballet School Sinikello in Oulu. Over the years he has had the opportunity to perform on the big stage at the ballet school.
Kimi first auditioned for BETM in the Spring of 2021 and was then chosen as one of eight boys to attend the Billy School to start training for the role. That training began in April, and after five months of instruction and practice, it was announced in September 2021 that Kimi would be one of two boys to share the role of Billy in Oulu.
With his debut performance as Billy on 4-Mar-2022, Kimi becomes the 321st young actor worldwide to play the role in a professional, regional or community theatre production of the musical.
