Zeb Peters is from Tasmania and he is 13 years old. He has been dancing for 8 years and has appeared in many theatre productions over the years.
Zeb auditioned to be in Encore Theatre Company’s production of BETM in August 2024. After the auditions, Zeb found out that he had been cast as one of two boys who would alternate in the role of Billy in the show.
He didn’t have to wait long before he could start training to take on the role of Billy, as rehearsals began in October 2024. Since then, Zeb and the rest of the BETM cast have been busy rehearsing right up until the show’s opening in March 2025.

Zeb hopes to inspire other young boys to dance. “This is probably one of the biggest shows I will ever do, and I’m just really excited to be here”, he says. “I hope that even if little boys come and see it, I hope they get inspiration to go home into musical theatre and do the arts, because it’s really fun when you start doing it.”
With his debut performance as Billy Elliot on 14-Mar-2025, George becomes the 374th young actor worldwide to play the role of Billy in a professional, regional or community theatre production of the musical.
