Hyun-jun Kim was 12 years old (D.O.B. = 21-Sep-2005) when he debuted as Billy Elliot in the second South Korean production of BETM at the D-Cube Arts Center in Seoul.
Hyun-jun has danced since he was nine years old, and he is already considered to be one of the best child dancers in Korea. Talking about auditioning for the role of Billy, he said, “I was only able to dance street style before the audition, so ballet class was the most challenging for me.”
Hyun-jun is worried that if he makes mistakes on stage he will have let people down, but his passion for dance is bigger than his fear.

Hyun-jun is looking forward to performing as Billy. He says, “I will do my best to let the people enjoy and be touched by the show.”
With his debut performance as Billy Elliot on 28-Nov-2017 Hyun-jun becomes the 229th actor worldwide to play the role in a professional, regionals or community theatre production of the musical.
