Ten years after it last played to audiences in its original home of London and in the UK, a new production of BETM, mounted by the original production company and with the same corps of original creatives,  will tour the UK and will include a revival of the show in the West End with a limited run there.

The tour will kick off on November 4, 2026 at the Sunderland Empire theatre in Sunderland, UK. As of this writing, the tour is scheduled to end on February 26, 2028 at the Bristol Hippodrome. In between, the tour is scheduled to visit six other locations around the UK and will also revive the original production of the musical on the West End, with a limited run (February 12-July 31, 2027) scheduled at the Adelphi Theatre in London. As is noted below the chart (above), more tour stops may be added to the schedule.

Presented by Universal Theatrical Group, which is the live stage production division of Universal Pictures and a subsidiary of NBCUniversal, and Working Title Films. It’s important to understand that this revival is not a stripped-down touring replica of the original production. As mentioned, above, it restores the full original creative team as it strives to bring the show back to it’s spiritual roots in the North East before transferring into the West End for a strictly limited six month engagement.

A cast of (56?) will be lead by four Billys:  Spencer Collins, William Gurney, Noah Mannion and Rafferty Smale.

Shortly after the new Billys were announced, West End Theatre did a fun interview with the boys as they reacted to how the rehearsal time had been for them:
