Bryan Pedata was 12 years old (D.O.B. = 29-Jun-2010) when he debuted as Billy in the Italian Tour production of BETM. He is from Rome.
Bryan comes from a ballet dancing family and therefore began his ballet training from a young age. Bryan’s grandfather, Sergio Marocchi, was a soloist at the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome. He went on to found his own dance school in Rome — Centro Studi Danza “Arte e Movimento” — in 1983. Bryan’s mother, Francesca, is now Artistic Director of the school and Bryan began his dance training there, before going on to train at the ballet school at Teatro dell’Opera.
Bryan has decided that he wants a career as a professional dancer and now studies every day at the National Academy of Dance in Rome under the guidance of professors Giuseppina Ercolani and Monica Fulloni.
Performing in BETM will be Bryan’s first appearance in a major musical.
Bryan’s debut as Billy at the Teatro Sistina in Rome on 27-Apr-2023 makes him the 336th young actor worldwide to play the role in a professional, regional or community theatre production of the musical.
