The beautiful 362 seat Kristianstad Theatre, in Kristianstad, Sweden, will be the site of a production of Billy Elliot The Musical (BETM) from September 26 to November 22, 2025.
The production is being staged by the Entertainment Patrol, an organization formed in the Spring of 2007 with the goal of producing musical theater in Kristianstad at the Kristianstad Theatre. The organization was founded by two people, both with a wealth of previous theater experiences: Ola Hörling and Åsa Jensen.
Over the years productions such as Oliver!, Sweet Charity, Grease, CATS, Annie, Little Shop of Horrors, The Wizard of Oz, The Lionheart Brothers, Chess (in Swedish), School of Rock, My Fair Lady and, most recently in 2024, Grease (in Swedish), have featured a combination of amateurs and professionals.
Since 2024, Ola Hörling has been the sole director of Entertainment Patrol.
Auditions for Billy Elliot The Musical were held in March, 2025 and rehearsals began in August.
A 41 member cast is being led by two boys taking turns starring as Billy Elliot. They are Algot Olsson and Amos Kesar.
