Jakob Ernir Jónatansson makes his debut as Billy in the Copenhagen production of BETM on the Main Stage of the Opera House.
Jakob auditioned for the role of Billy in 2023, after which he was chosen to attend the Copenhagen Billy Elliot School. At the Billy School he attended weekly dancing, singing and acting classes. After a year of training, Jakob was chosen as one of the three young actors who would star as Billy.
Jakob’s debut performance on 19-Nov-2024 makes him the 368th young actor worldwide to play the role in a professional, regional or community theatre production of the musical.
