Meet the Youngest Billy: Jo Yoon-woo
At just 10 years old, Jo Yoon-woo (조윤우) is the youngest of the four boys cast as Billy in Billy Elliot the Musical Seoul 2026. Despite his young age, he already brings serious professional experience to the role.
Yoon-woo has trained in acrobatics and figure skating since a young age, which has given him incredible physical control and stage presence. As for his performance credentials, despite being only 10 years old, he already brings real professional experience in films, dramas, commercials, and musical theatre to the Billy Elliot cast. His TV credits include a major role in the 2024 JTBC comedy-drama series Quiet Sales (also known as A Virtuous Business), as well as a Kia Motors television commercial. On stage, he appeared in the 2024 production of Kinky Boots, playing the role of Little Charlie.
During an interview with Wee Magazine before the production opened, Yoon-woo was asked the question Billy is asked in the show: “What does it feel like when you’re dancing?” Yoon-woo’s reply: “My body won’t stop; I just want to keep moving. It’s exhilarating.”
When the curtain rises in April 2026, Jo Yoon-woo will become the youngest performer to play the iconic lead role of Billy Elliot in a professional production of the musical. With his skating background, screen experience, and raw talent, this 10-year-old is already turning heads and proving he belongs on the big stage.
