Twelve-year-old Kenny Takeshita shared the lead role of Billy with Palmer Morrison in All About Theatre’s production of BETM. Kenny has studied at Santa Cruz’s Montessori School. In his spare time he enjoys surfing, skateboarding and playing the piano.
Previous performing experience for Kenny includes a role in his school’s play The Odyssey. In this video clip, he’s seen singing Pennies From Heaven:

Kenny has performed in other shows with All About Theatre. He played the White Rabbit in their 2015 production of Alice in Wonderland Junior, and in January 2016 he performed as Conrad Birdie in Bye Bye Birdie.
In the days prior to the opening of the Santa Cruz show, to promote the show, members of the cast sang The Letter on a local radio station. In this video clip of that appearance, Billy is played by Kenny Takeshita, Dead Mum is Stacy Stafford and Mrs. Wilkinson is sung by Jen Karno:
