Nathan Goodlett, from the Cincinnati suburb of Anderson Township, Ohio, was 14-years-old (d.o.b. 18-Jun-2002) when he debuted as Billy Elliot in the Fairfield Summer Theatre production of the musical.
He comes from a family of performers and performance educators. His mom (Jenny) and dad (Jay) both danced professionally with the Cincinnati Ballet and now both teach dance — Jenny at a dance studio and Jay at Northern Kentucky University. Jay is also associate artistic director with Cincinnati Children’s Theatre. Both of Nathan’s sisters are also dancers. Besides his love of performing, Nathan also enjoys playing soccer and tennis.
Nathan’s academics most recently have been attained at Nagel Middle School in the Forest Hills School District of Cincinnati. Nathan will enter Anderson High School in the Fall.
Nathan has acquired his dance training from the The Studio for Dance in Blue Ash, Ohio, where his mother teaches dance and where he’s successfully participated in various regional and national dance competitions.
He has received vocal and acting training from Vocal:Â Geneva Woode, Margaret Breidenbaugh (Cincinnati Music Academy), Stacy Wm Haney (Nagel Middle School), Kristen Hollowood (Musical Arts Center). Acting: Chad Weddle and Debra Heimbrock (Nagel Middle School, Anderson High School, TOAST Camp)
Previous performance experience includes:
- A Christmas Carol at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park (2014 & 2015)
- Playing the role of Michael Darling in the Cincinnati Ballet’s production of Peter Pan (2014)

In addition to his stage and dance experience, Nathan also has screen credits on his resume having appeared in an interactive educational video produced by Learning Through Art called Kite Flying, a Hallmark movie called A Christmas Melody in 2015 (which starred Mariah Carey)Â and in several commericals for TV.
As part of his training at school, Nathan has produced/written/directed and appeared in videos, including this one entitled Sing:

Nathan’s involvement with Fairfield Summer Theatre’s production of BETM began after a friend suggested he audition for the director, Ryan Heinrich. Nathan did so, and after several weeks was informed he had the role — one which he describes as his “dream role”.
Rehearsals began on June 6, 2016 with a rehearsal week on average consisting of three hour sessions 4-6 days each week.
Upon his debut, Nathan becomes the 155th actor to play the role of Billy in a non youth/school production of the show worldwide.
