Nathan comes from a family of dancers and has performed in musical productions on stage in Winnipeg. For example, in 2019 Nathan played one of the children in the highly acclaimed production of Matilda presented by the Royal Manitoba Theatre. He and his older brother Johan played the roles of Eric and Nigel and were featured with a cutout of the young actress playing the title role on the cover of the production’s program.
In the summer of 2022, Nathan starred in Winnipeg’s Rainbow Stage production of The Hockey Sweater in which, in addition to his performing skills, he showed off his skating skills as well. In the musical, Nathan plays the younger self of the star and narrator of the story.

Billy Elliot The Musical
Nathan’s involvement with the Neptune Theatre production of BETM marks the first time that Nathan has had to travel for a role. He says that it’s a big change for him and an opportunity he’s looked forward to.
Talking about the opportunity to play Billy Nathan says, “I’ve always loved to perform ever since I was little, and to have the privilege to sing, act, and dance is such an honor to me, and I hope I can influence others to show their love of performing too”. “I don’t mean to be cheesy, but the song ‘Electricity’ in Billy Elliot really describes my passion of performing on stage. When Billy says, ‘I can’t really explain it, it’s a feeling that I can’t control,’ it captures how I really feel while on stage, that I can freely express my excitement when performing.”
Nathan went on to say, ““One aspect of Billy I think I can really connect to is his love for dancing and ballet and I feel the same way. I feel very happy and joyful when I’m dancing,” said Nathan, who started acting at age seven.
With his debut as Billy, Nathan becomes the 337th boy in the world to play the title role in a professional, regional or community theatre production of the musical.
