On six consecutive Saturdays beginning on 21-Sep-2019, SHOWTIME Performing Arts Theatre in Boca Raton, Florida will present a production of Billy Elliot The Musical (BETM).
Now in its 14th season, SHOWTIME Performing Arts Theatre is a fully-equipped, two-story, state of the art 125 seat teaching and performance facility presenting a full season of children’s musicals as well as adult theatrical productions, from September through June each year.
The school at SHOWTIME includes 5 instructional studios for dance, acting, music and vocal recording, and also offers Winter, Spring and Summer Performing Arts Camps and 12 week performance programs from 3 years old to adult. Private lessons are also presented. Classes are available in Acting, Dance, Voice, Audition Preparation and Instruments Instruction.
Each season, SHOWTIME presents an adult Main Stage production. Past seasons have seen presentations of The Who’s Tommy, Nunsense, Cabaret, Rent and In The Heights, to name a few.
Billy Elliot The Musical
Billy Elliot The Musical is the 2019 season’s Main Stage Performance. Auditions were held on Saturday 17-Aug-2019 and Monday 19-Aug-2019, followed by callbacks as necessary. Rehearsals began 23-Aug-2019 (Mondays & Fridays, 5-8pm and Saturdays, 3-6pm). Tech week was scheduled from Monday, 16-Sep-2019.
A cast of 26 is led by two boys new to the title role. They are Adam Picariello-Heighes and William Moss.
