Anthony Maximilian Marino was 16-years-old (D.O.B. = 9-Jul-2000) at the time of his debut as Billy Elliot. From Greensburg, PA, Anthony is a high school sophomore at Greensburg Central Catholic High School.
Anthony’s performance preparation has been at Stage Right!, where his dad, Anthony, is the Artistic Director and Renata, his mom, is the School Coordinator and Choreographer. Anthony’s training has included classes and workshops in acting, singing and dance.
With two parents who are professional performers, it will come as no surprise that young Anthony has been performing since the age of three, when he appeared as the baby elephant bird in a production of Suessical The Musical.
Anthony has appeared in a number of shows at Stage Right!

The senior Tony Marino, along with composer/arranger Lena Gabrielle and lyricist Greg Kerestan, wrote an original musical called Tink The Musical. It’s meant to be a prequel to Scottish writer J.M. Barrie’s beloved Peter Pan, and tells the story of Tinker Bell and her journey to becoming Peter Pan’s fairy and best friend. “Tink” had it’s debut as a Stage Right! production in the summer of 2015, where it got a very successful response. In this video clip, Tinker Bell is played by Elly Noble and Peter by young Anthony Marino as they perform Everything I Know from the show:

In addition to his stage work, Anthony has film credits on his resume. Most recently Anthony appeared in the role of “Scrappy Kid – Aaron” in the 2013 film The Lifeguard, which starred Kristen Bell. Prior to that he performed the role of Tyler in a film which starred Viola Davis called Won’t Back Down (2012).
In front of the TV cameras, Anthony had a featured role in a short lived A & E crime drama series called Those Who Killed (2014).
Anthony is under contract to begin shooting the independent film “Summerlings” in the spring of 2017.
Upon his debut as Billy on 18-Nov-2016 in the Stage Right! production, Anthony becomes the 175th young actor in the world to star in the title role.
