    Meet Billy Elliot: Blaise Meanor

    Note:  Blaise’s final show as Billy in Billy Elliot the Musical (BETM) in Cranberry Township, PA, presented by the Keystone State Music Theater (KSMT), was on Aug 18, 2017.

    Debut: August 11, 2017 (Keystone State Music Theater)

    Total Performances as Billy to Date:  6 (No partial shows) 

    Blaise Meanor was 14 years old (D.O.B. = 14-Jan-2003) when he debuted as Billy Elliot.  Blaise is a student at Seneca Valley Intermediate High School, which educates students in grades 9 & 10.  

    His performance training (acting, vocal, improv, dance) has been provided over the last 2.5 years by the Keystone State Music Theater.  Specifically his dance training has included Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop and Tap.  KSMT is also where the majority of his performance experience has taken place.  Prior to BETM, Blaise’s credits include (all at KSMT):

    • High School Musical Jr. (Ryan Evans)
    • Crazy For You Jr. (Lank)
    • All Shook Up Jr.  (Dean)
    • Peter Pan Jr. (Chief Tiger)

    Stage experience has also been gained at his former academic school — The Seneca Valley Middle School, where he performed in:

    • Beauty & The Beast Jr. (Lumiere)
    • Lion King Jr. (Young Simba)

    Once cast in the role of Billy for KSMT, Blaise began two weeks of intensive rehearsals (nine hrs per day).

    With his debut on 11-Aug-2017, Blaise becomes the 209th boy to bring the role of Billy Elliot to life on stage in a professional, regional or community theater production of the musical.
