Brody Burr was 13-years-old (D.O.B. = 15-Oct-2003) when he debuted as Billy in the Mecca Productions presentation of BETM at the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium in Brandon, MB. He shares the lead role of Billy with his younger brother Carson. He is from Rapid City, MB and is a student at Elton Collegiate in Forrest. Brody’s hobbies include playing many different types of sports.
Brody has been dancing from a young age, with his training taking place at Steppin’ Time Dance Studios and Dance Images, both in Brandon. He regularly competes in dance competitions. At the 2016 Rolling River Festival of the Arts, Brody won the ages 9-12 duo/trio/group section with his dance partner. He also received a scholarship for his hip hop trio.
In the past Brody has appeared in productions with 7 Ages Productions. He played ‘Solo Boy 2’ in Oliver! and shared the role of ‘Michael Banks’ in their production of Mary Poppins.
Billy Elliot was Brody’s biggest theatrical role to date. With his debut on 28-Oct-2016, Brody became the 170th Billy in the world.
