Cameron Clark is a year 9 student. He has been dancing at Ettinghausens, a local performing arts centre, since he was just five years old. He also receives vocal training from Laura Garrick.
Cameron is a seasoned performer, having performed in an impressive 15 musicals already. The first of these was Beauty and the Beast (Miranda Musical Theatre Company), when he was eight years old. Other productions include:
- Lawrence in School of Rock (Qudos Bank Arena)
- James in School of Rock (Miranda Musical Theatre Company)
- Marlin in Finding Nemo Jr (Rockdale Musical Society)
Cameron is excited to be able to use all his triple-threat skills in the role of Billy. He has enjoyed learning something new at each rehearsal. The most challenging aspects so far have been learning the Geordie accent and remembering the dances.
His hopes for the future include moving to New York and performing on Broadway.
With his debut performance as Billy on 18-Oct-2024 Cameron becomes 363rd young actor to play the role worldwide in a professional, regional or community theatre production of the musical.
