Production
From April 29 to May 15, 2016, the Grandstreet Theatre in Helena, MT presented a regional production of Billy Elliot The Musical. As is the case with many of the recent regional theatre productions of BETM, this production was presented in a very intimate setting, which seems to work so well for the show.
The Grandstreet Theatre is a beautifully preserved 200-seat turn-of-the-century romanesque granite church, which also has an additional 45-seat black box studio.  Since 1976, it has been the home of Montana’s oldest continuous community theater.
The cast was led by Seamus Whyte, who made his debut in the role of Billy Elliot. Interestingly, six of the kids in the cast had a parent who is also a cast member.
