Musikal Kollektivet presents a production of Billy Elliot the Musical (BETM) at Ringerike Kultursenter in Hønefoss, Norway, from August 27 to September 5, 2021. This is the fourth production of BETM that has been performed in Norway.
Musikal Kollektivet is a centre for children, young people and adults who want teaching and training in singing, dance and musical theatre. Their aim is to increase the level of skill, feeling of confidence, understanding, and the joy of singing, dancing and acting. Much emphasis is placement on preparing young people for life on stage.
Every year Musikal Kollektivet produces two musicals for their students to perform in, alongside adult performers from the Ringerike region. BETM is the second musical they have produced this year, having performed Aladdin in May 2021.
For the six performances in Hønefoss, the lead role of Billy will be shared by two young actors — Tinius Hansen and Håvard Søreide.
