    Meet Billy Elliot: Jack Hartman

Note:  Jack Hartman’s final show as Billy in Billy Elliot the Musical (BETM) in Rochester, NY, presented by OFC Creations, was on May 21, 2023.

Debut: May 13, 2023 (Rochester, NY)

Total Performances as Billy:  4 (No partial shows)

Jack Hartman becomes the 339th boy in the world to portray Billy Elliot on stage in a professional, regional or community theatre production of the musical. He was just nine years and 10 1/2 months  old (d.o.b. = 24-June-2013) upon his debut as Billy, making him the youngest ever to debut in this demanding role in a professional, regional or community theatre production of the musical. The previous record was held by Parker Fullmore who was 10 years and 3 days old when he debuted as Billy the first time of several different productions of the musical that he starred in. Parker held that record for seven years until Jack’s debut.

Another interesting fact about the relative ages of the two boys is that they both debuted on the same date seven years apart to the day (May 13th), Parker in 2016 and Jack as mentioned, in 2023.

Jack has been primarily an actor so far in his performance career, having begun taking formal dance instruction just six months before the opening of the OFC Creations production of BETM.

In the past, Jack has been very active in productions at OFC.  He has appeared in SpongeBob (Patchy the Pirate), Seussical (Jojo), Aladdin (Aladdin), Shrek (Pinocchio), Oliver! (gang ensemble), Moana (Maui), Frozen (Hans), 13 (Malcolm), and Newsies (Les).

Jack is passionate about theatre and wants to be an actor when he is older.  His dream is to perform on Broadway.
