Paul Sprengel was 12 years old when he made his debut as Billy in the SäffleOperan production of BETM. He is from Långserud.
For his schooling he attends Norrstrandskolan in Karlstad, where he takes music classes. He also studies ballet at Gundega Ballet School in Karlstad, and takes violin tuition at Säffle Kulturskola.
His hobbies outside of performing include mountain biking, acrobatics and karate. In fact, at his first audition for BETM he performed a kata that he’d learned in his karate training.
In June 2020 it was announced that Paul would be one of two young boys to share the role of Billy in the Säffle production of BETM.
His debut performance on 2-Oct-2021 makes Paul the 309th young actor worldwide to play the role in a professional, regional or community theatre production of the musical.
