Roan was 14-years-old (D.O.B. 11-Jan-2001) when he debuted as the last of the original cast of Billys in The Netherlands and is from Voorburg, which is a Dutch town and former municipality in the western part of the province of South Holland. Together with Leidschendam and Stompwijk, it makes up the municipality Leidschendam-Voorburg.
Roan attended the Essesteijnschool in Voorburg. His hobbies include playing the piano, singing and dancing. He has also received ballet and theatrical training from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague.
That he possesses excellent vocal skills was demonstrated when Roan was a finalist in the 2013 Junior Songfestival, which is the nationwide competition in The Netherlands to determine its entry for the annual Junior Eurovision Song Contest Here’s a video clip of the song he sang in the contest called Welcome to My Dreams

Roan also has some stage experience on his pre-BETM resume. Roan, like Stijn, made his professional musical theatre debut in the musical Mary Poppins (2010-2011) and Roan was cast as ‘Brem’ in the musical ‘Droomvlucht’ during the 2011-2012 season.
When asked about how he relaxes, Roan replied: “During the weekends I like to meet up with my friends and I like to rest. Sometimes I do voice-overs or sing songs for TV series like Nickelodeon.”
As far as BETM goes, Roan Pronk says his favorite scenes are “all the scenes I have with Grandma, because they have a lot of humor.” He also likes the part of Dream Ballet “where they put me in a harness and I get to fly.”
As far as what he finds most difficult about playing Billy he says “To remain serious while on stage. If something funny happens, I have to work hard not to laugh.”
