A production of Billy Elliot the Musical (BETM) was presented at the Axelrod Performing Arts Center (PAC) in Deal Park, New Jersey, from November 4-20, 2016.

axelrod-logoThe Axelrod PAC was founded in 2010 with the following mission statement – “The Axelrod fosters artistic excellence by showcasing varied and distinct cultural programs which enrich the imaginative, intellectual, and creative soul, inspire Jewish jouneys, and cultivate an appreciation of our diverse communities through the pursuit of the arts.”  

Over the years the Axelrod PAC has won numerous Perry Awards, which are awards presented to the finest community theatre productions in NJ.  BETM is one of a few large scale musicals that they are presenting this season, the others being In The Heights and La Cage Aux Folles.

The cast of BETM at the Axelrod PAC was led by Braden Allen King, who was making his debut in the title role of Billy Elliot.
