A production of Billy Elliot The Musical (BETM) played at the Teatr Rozrywki in Chorzow, Poland. The production had its first performance of BETM on April 9, 2015 and from then onwards shows were performed a few times each year. Three and a half years after the first performance, and after a total of 62 performances, BETM was performed for the last time in Chorzow on October 20, 2018.
The theatre has its own repertory company, many of whom played roles in BETM. There are also guest artists that were brought in to supplement the in-house company, including for most of the children’s roles.
In 2016, the Chorzow production paid a short visit to Poland’s capital city to perform there. They did three shows at the Teatr Polski in Warsaw on June 10, 11 & 12.
During the initial Chorzow run in 2015, the title role was in the hands of two young actors who alternated performances. They are Karol Huget and Dominik Sowa. As the production continued into 2016, Dominik Sowa left the show, and was replaced by a new Billy. He is Beniamin Bracki, who previously played the role of Small Boy in the original Chorzow production. Karol Huget performed as Billy for the last time in March 2017, and so for the rest of the production’s run Beniamin Bracki was the only Billy performing in Chorzow.

Here’s a video that summarizes the Polish show. While it’s in Polish, those who don’t speak the language will still get a feel for the production as there’s some excellent video footage of the show:
