The Historic Palace Theatre (The Palace) in Lockport, NY, presents a regional production of Billy Elliot the Musical (BETM) from July 13-23, 2017.
The Palace Theatre first opened its doors on July 18, 1925. On this day the President of Lock City Theater Company, A. Edmund Lee announced to the packed audience that the Palace had been “built not for the aristocracy, but for all the people” and that in doing so they had “extended Broadway into Lockport and to the people of Niagara”. These are statements that have continued to be true about the Palace for the past 90 years to this day.
The Palace has taken on a number of large scale musicals in recent years, including Mary Poppins, The Addams Family, Guys and Dolls, Les Miserables and Legally Blonde. BETM is the latest of these ambitious shows that will be performed at the Palace Theatre.
A veteran Billy will take on the lead role of Billy Elliot at the Palace. He is Seth Judice and this is his fourth time playing the role.
