Jamie Rogers was 12 years old (d.o.b. = 26-Oct-2006) when he made his debut as Billy in the Australian Tour production of BETM. Jamie is from Canberra.
Since the age of seven, Jamie has trained in ballet, tap and jazz at Jayz Dance Company in Canberra. He has also been accepted into the Australian Ballet School Interstate Programme for 3 years running. Jamie has a love for Hollywood musicals and this led to him starting singing lessons with Wild Voices Music Theatre.
Jamie has prior experience in television, having acted in a pilot TV show Team Rescue in 2017, and then he had a lead role in a short film After the Away in 2018.

Playing the role of Billy for his professional debut is a dream come true for Jamie. His debut performance as Billy Elliot on 11-Oct-2019 makes him the 286th young actor worldwide to play the role in a professional, regional or community theatre production of the musical.
