Facundo Yedro was 13 years old (D.O.B. = 26-Oct-2005) when he made his debut as Billy in the Chilean production of BETM at the Teatro Municipal de las Condes in Santiago.
His previous theatre credits include Coppelius, the magician and Annie, the little orphan.
Facundo first auditioned for the role of Billy in late 2018. He then underwent months of rigorous training alongside other potential Billys, and six months down the line he was chosen to share the starring role of Billy with Dorian Grobet. After being cast Facundo and Dorian trained for four and a half hours every week day evening, doing tap, ballet, gymnastics and singing. Then in July full company rehearsals started to prepare for the show’s opening in October.

Unlike most kids his age, Facundo much prefers dancing and the creative arts to computer games, and sees his future in the theatre. He says, “I can play on the computer for five seconds and then I pick up my guitar or start moving around.”
With his debut performance as Billy on 4-Oct-2019, Facundo becomes the 283rd actor worldwide to play the role in a professional, regional or community theatre production of the musical.
